GODZILLA - KING OF THE MONSTERS instantly became a worldwide smash proving that, indeed, Godzilla was the king of the monsters.

Godzilla is owned by a Japanese distibution and production company called TOHO. TOHO, rightfully so, has been extremely protective of The Godzilla name, image and rights over the last 40 some-odd years as Godzilla has grown to be one of the most internationaly recognized icons. Not only is it monumental in Godzilla's history that this will be the first true american production of a Godzilla movie but the fact that he will undergo a grand physical makeover is not to be taken lightly.
