Scott Free was delivered as an infant by his father -- Highfather, ruler of New Genesis -- to the hands of Darkseid, tyrant
of Apokolips, to end the war between the two planets. (Likewise, Orion -- the only son of Darkseid -- was sent to live on
New Genesis.) Despite all attempts to break his spirit, Scott knew he was meant for a greater destiny. Scott eventually escaped
from Apokolips, and made his way to Earth, where he met Thaddeus Brown, the original Mister Miracle, and Oberon, his trusted
friend. After Thaddeus was killed, Scott assumed the role of Mister Miracle after bringing Thaddeus' murderers to justice.
Although he prefers the life of a performer over that of a superhero, Mister Miracle has spent time as a member of the Justice
League and continues to protect the innocent. Scott is married to Big Barda, another fugitive from Apokolips and the former
leader of Darkseid's Female Furies. |

Unlike most of the New Gods, Mister Miracle possesses no natural super-powers. A technological genius and escape artist
supreme, they haven't invented the lock Mister Miracle can't pick, or the trap he can't beat. In addition to his natural skills,
Scott employs numerous devices, including his aero-disks, which allow him to fly, a multi-cube, a device that can shoot laser
beams, create sonic vibrations and other functions, and his Mother Box, a living computer with vast powers.
