BRIEF HISTORY

Sons to judge Irwin Hall, Hank and Don Hall were trapped at the seadquarters of Dargo, a villain seeking revenge on their father. They could do nothing to escape until they heard the voices of a Lord of Order and a Lord of Chaos asking them if they wished power. Since they agreed, the Lords granted their wish: each time they said Hawk and Dove, they transformed into manifestations of those Lords. Apparently, they could only transform to fight injustice, but it was enough to destroy Dargo's headquarters. Quiet and calm Don received the powers of the Lord of Order and, while Hank used strength, he used agility and brains. However, his powers were of no use during the Crisis on the Infinite Earths, when he was killed rescuing some children from a falling wall. His powers were then sent to a new Dove.
