Origin: Chosen to be
a guinea pig by Simon Stagg, Rex Mason was transformed into a Metamorpho, Stagg's prototype for a worker able to survive harsh
climates and dangerous conditions. Now able to shapeshift and transform his body into any element (or combination of
elements), Mason chose to use his powers for the benefit of humanity as Metamorpho, The Element Man.
Comments: His origin has changed somewhat from the mystical one from the comic
books, where he received his powers from contact by the mystical Orb of Ra. It is worth noting, however, that his tragic scientific
origins here mirror the origin of Clayface, complete with a scene where Mason oozes into the sewers to elude the police.
